WOMEN IN MISSIONS

ORGANIZATIONS
Equipping Women International, Barnabas Ministries:  Equipping Women International strives to provide accessible and affordable ministry skill training in regional hub cities worldwide. We have personally experienced the spiritual nurture and life-changing dynamics that occur when women gather and learn together, and we are passionate about providing this life-on-life experience for our fellow global servants.
Parakaleo:  A ministry partner emerging from MNA's committment to come alongside women on the front lines of ministry, people like church planters and missionaries, "Parakaleo provides a safe place for women in ministry by modeling what it means to wrestle with the profound truth and grace the gospel gives us". Now with ministry developing, and women being trained in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and in partnership with churches such as Redeemer, NY, Parakaleo is looking for ways to expand.  Having such experience in developing networks of training and support in the U.S., the time has come to reach out to the world.  Already, training has been translated with cultural sensitivity into two languages!  Visit their website to learn more about their story and for information about future training opportunities.  Call or write Brian Deringer.
RETREATS
Thrive is a non-denominational ministry that serves missionary women by hosting retreats in the U.S. and around the world.   Their Vision is to be global leaders, providing expertise and setting excellent standards of care for Global Women. They believe Global Women will thrive, in part because individuals, churches, and mission agencies provide holistic, pro-active care.  MTW encourages women in our organization to participate!  Please contact David White (david.white@mtw.org) or Brian Deringer (brian.deringer@mtw.org) regarding reimbursement eligibility before you register.
Velvet Ashes:  Encouragement for women working overseas.  We are a unique tribe, bonded by the shared journey of uprooting our lives and re-rooting in foreign soil.  We know the pain of goodbyes, the upheaval of change, the redefining of self.  We know the extremes of our lives that leave our hearts raw and weary.  And in all of this we know the deep longing of our souls to be known and to know we are not alone.

Through Her Eyes - In addition to the difficult adjustments all missionaries face in a new culture, women serving in the Muslim world often have other challenges: new roles and identities quite different from their old lives. In an effort to support and encourage women entering or already on the mission field, Through Her Eyes shares the personal experiences of two dozen women as they reveal the nuances of their everyday lives as missionaries in a foreign culture.
