WOMEN IN MISSIONS
Equipping Women International, Barnabas Ministries: Equipping Women International strives to provide accessible and affordable ministry skill training in regional hub cities worldwide. We have personally experienced the spiritual nurture and life-changing dynamics that occur when women gather and learn together, and we are passionate about providing this life-on-life experience for our fellow global servants.
Parakaleo: A ministry partner emerging from MNA's committment to come alongside women on the front lines of ministry, people like church planters and missionaries, "Parakaleo provides a safe place for women in ministry by modeling what it means to wrestle with the profound truth and grace the gospel gives us". Now with ministry developing, and women being trained in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and in partnership with churches such as Redeemer, NY, Parakaleo is looking for ways to expand. Having such experience in developing networks of training and support in the U.S., the time has come to reach out to the world. Already, training has been translated with cultural sensitivity into two languages! Visit their website to learn more about their story and for information about future training opportunities. Call or write Brian Deringer.
Hinged@Home: Feasting and Fellowshipping with Family Home…it is where we live and worship, where we know we belong, but it is also our eternal destination. And a hinge is a utilitarian piece of hardware. Its job is to connect two pieces together so that they are made useful. As we bring those two ideas together, consider the impact of hinging with our spiritual family around the truth as we walk together until we get Home. Sheltering in place and unrest in our country have left many longing for meaningful conversations and lasting connections. That is why now, as never before, we need to be vitally connected to Christ and each other as the Church. To get your FREE REGISTRATION CODE please email Kathy Wargo; firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com. By registering for Hinged@Home, you will receive access to the video teaching from our Hinged keynote speakers from September 15 to November 15. Registration is open now!
True Women for Christ: October 3, 3:00-6:00 PM. True Women for Christ is a FREE online conference for Christian women. With the help of Connie Miller and Susan Hunt, and several other ladies, we want to simply encourage and inspire Christian women to be women who live for the Lord Jesus Christ. We encourage all women from 14 to 140 to join us wherever you are!
Thrive is a non-denominational ministry that serves missionary women by hosting retreats in the U.S. and around the world. Their Vision is to be global leaders, providing expertise and setting excellent standards of care for Global Women. They believe Global Women will thrive, in part because individuals, churches, and mission agencies provide holistic, pro-active care. MTW encourages women in our organization to participate! Please contact David White (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Brian Deringer (email@example.com) regarding reimbursement eligibility before you register.
Velvet Ashes: Encouragement for women working overseas. We are a unique tribe, bonded by the shared journey of uprooting our lives and re-rooting in foreign soil. We know the pain of goodbyes, the upheaval of change, the redefining of self. We know the extremes of our lives that leave our hearts raw and weary. And in all of this we know the deep longing of our souls to be known and to know we are not alone.
Hinged Ephesians Bible Study: We invite you to use the Hinged Bible Study on the book of Ephesians, produced by CDM and written by women in the PCA. There are free videos, discussion questions, a Leader's Guide, and videos interacting with the authors. Books can be purchased from pcabookstore.com (a downloadable version is also available). The free video content and discussion guides from the Bible Study will remain online at www.pcacdm.org/hbs until December 2020.
Through Her Eyes - In addition to the difficult adjustments all missionaries face in a new culture, women serving in the Muslim world often have other challenges: new roles and identities quite different from their old lives. In an effort to support and encourage women entering or already on the mission field, Through Her Eyes shares the personal experiences of two dozen women as they reveal the nuances of their everyday lives as missionaries in a foreign culture.
Women transitioning to the field: notes from MTW veteran missionary in the Aisia Pacific, Sue Burch on things to take into consideration when transitioning to the field.
